2015 Inspiring Dreams Gala

Kathy's Legacy Foundation's first inaugural gala was a huge success, raising more than $100,000 for services that will help victims and children of domestic violence. About 230 guests filled the Grand Pacific Ballroom of the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa on October 3 and danced to music by The Fabulous Ultratones. A live and silent auction, featuring some luxurious items, also helped raise funds that will go toward the foundation's long-term goal of building Kathy's Village and Kennel. The foundation honored domestic violence advocate Casey Gwinn with the “Inspiring Dreams Award”.

Pivotal partnerships were announced to ensure that survivors will get the resources they need to move on and thrive. Moore, Schulman and Moore Family Law announced it will provide pro-bono legal services, The Center for Hope and Strength will provide therapy and Great Smiles Pediatric Dentistry with provide dentistry and orthodontic services for children traumatized by domestic violence for free. Kathy's Legacy Foundation is grateful and thankful for everyone who came out to this moving event, donated to the cause, and helped make a difference in the lives of domestic violence victims and their families.
